Hair has a growth cycle and develops each and every day. The hairs removed during a session could be at any stage of the growth cycle. We have no way of knowing which hair is at what stage in the growth cycle. To ensure we fully remove the hair from the desired area we need to provide time for the hair to grow between sessions. Doing this allows us to make sure all hair has been fully removed from the desired area.

check list!

  • Hydrate yourself!  the more liquid in your body the faster the reaction can start so the hair can be removed.
  • Eat Well! your body needs  fuel to heal. you can often  come down from adrenaline especially after your first session due to nerves.
  • Don't shave! We need enough hair length to inset the probe. and something for the tweezers to grip too.
  • Exfoliate! this helps the skin become softer and removes the fine layer of dead skin off the hair follicle allowing  new hairs to be caught during the appointment.
  • Don't pluck between appointments!  plucking can  bring more blood to hair follicles just  removed making them thicker and stronger and even harder to remove.
  • Don't drink alcohol the night before.  this can thin the blood and make bleeding much easier and cause more inflammation during the  treatment.

Achieving permanent hair removal requires consistent sessions over 6 to 18 months. The number of electrolysis sessions required can vary based on the individual and the treatment location. Here are the scheduling phases based on the hair growth cycle.

Initial Phase: Weekly or biweekly sessions are recommended to catch all hair follicles in the active growth phase. For best results we recommend 6 to 10 sessions, scheduled for 60 minutes each.

Maintenance Phase: At this point we recommend spacing sessions out 3 to 4 weeks, as the growing stage slows down dramatically. This ensures that we are able to catch any strays that were missed  or not in active growth during previous sessions. The amount of sessions recommended at this point is personalised to your hair growth and cannot be estimated.

Nano brows are suitable for all skin types and can last up to  2 years. The longevity of your brows depends on your skin type (Oily or Dry).  Dry skin retains pigment  longer keeping it in the skin. Oily skin  tends to break down the  pigment faster causing it to look blurry after  2 years. Nano brows are a safe and effective treatment, no matter your skin type.
